You don't have to save the world today

Let me say something I wish someone had told me when I was younger, when I was trying so hard to make it, to prove something, to be something:

Your purpose is not a career.

Your purpose is to be vibrantly alive.

I’ve spent enough time with wise ones, healers, and women at the edge of burnout to know this truth in my bones. The world will try to tell you otherwise. It will hand you resumes, business cards, LinkedIn profiles, and ask, “What do you do?” like that’s who you are.

But that’s not your soul speaking.

Your soul came here for something wilder, softer, more sacred.

Your soul came here to taste life.

To dance and cry and pray and sweat and make things with your hands.

To follow beauty.

To rest.

To serve in a way that feels real, not performative.

Your job is what you do.

Your purpose is how you live.

Sometimes it overlaps. Sometimes it doesn’t.

But don’t get confused.

Your purpose is in how you greet the morning.

In how you breathe when no one is watching.

In how you love yourself back from the edge.

In how you make tea.

In how you hold space, for your children, your friends, your body, your grief.

It’s not about becoming something. It’s about remembering who you already are.

So let the pressure drop.

You don’t have to save the world today.

You don’t have to build an empire or launch anything or explain yourself.

Just be fully here.

Let yourself feel it all.

Let your joy be sacred.

Let your rest be revolutionary.

Let your aliveness be enough.

You are enough.

You’ve always been.
